We are indenting agents for a USA based company for the sale to the Indian local market of
post consumer Polyethylene terephthalate (commonly called PET) baled unwashed bottles. The
PET bottles are compacted by recycling facilities in USA into bales and then shipped in 40' High
cube containers. These containers typically take in about 36,000-40,000 lb (say 16-18 metric tons)
of material (1MT=2204.62 lbs). The PET bottles come with caps and liners which are usually of PP.
The PET bottles come with other contamination like labels. The presence of PP bottles though rare
cannot be discounted. The material specification is based on the percentage of clear and colored
(usually green and sometimes blue) bottles. The material we have access to is usually a mix
of 80:20 which means 80% are clear and 20% are colored bottles.
We are already selling around 50 * 40' High cube containers per month to manufactures of
regenerated PSF fibre in India
We can presently offer further around 25 container per month
Prices are reviewed at the end of the month for next month shipment or beginning of each month.
Payment terms can be either on cash on advance basis or Letter of credit.
